How much do guitar lessons cost with Torres Music Academy?

What age does a student have to be to take guitar lessons?
There really isn’t a best age for kids to start guitar lessons, but most children under the age of 7 generally don’t have the dexterity or patience needed to learn to play the guitar. With persistence and motivation some kids have learned to play guitar at some impressively young ages, but it really comes down to is the individual attitude and maturity level of the student. At Torres Music Academy, we welcome parents to bring your little ones in for a free trial lesson and assessment where our instructor will assess if we are the right fit for your little learner! Does Torres Music Academy offer group or sibling guitar lessons?
Yes, we offer a guitar lesson curriculum for students who wish to learn with a partner, ensemble, band, or sibling. This typically includes two 30-minute lessons with time for crossover group learning. Book a free trial lesson.

Yes! Torres Music Academy accommodates teachings to meet any guitar playing styles. We have students who only want to learn classical music and students who want to learn how to shred on their electric guitars. Does Torres Music Academy provide guitar lessons that teach students how to read sheet music or guitar tablature (aka tabs)?
Yes to both. If it is your goal to learn how to read sheet music our instructors can teach you how to read music. If your goal is learn guitar tablature our instructors can teach you to read and play reading tabs!

What kind guitar does Torres Music Academy recommend to learn on?
The type of guitar that is best for a student to learn on is truly up to the players personal preferences and musical goals. If your goal is to play bluegrass or country an acoustic guitar would be ideal, however, if you want to play Spanish or classical music then a classical guitar would be recommended. Students interested in learning Led Zeppelin or heavy metal would want an electric guitar and amp. If you are unsure we are happy to let you try one our guitars to get a feel for what you might like.
